Add Your Own Blog Posts!

Hey Pack 4 --

Now ANYONE can create a new blog post by email!  Here's how --

To post by email:
  1. Create an email with your post title as the subject.
  2. The body of the email will be the post.
    • To mark the end of your post, enter #end.
    • To include an image, attach an image to your email.
  3. Send the email to the Cubmaster at Pack4.Pasadena@gmail.com OR to your child's Adult Den Leader.  The Cubmaster or Adult Den Leader will then approve the post, and send it to the blog.  As soon as it's approved, it's posted immediately!
Guidelines:

Names -- for child safety, do not include names, or only include first names.

Photos -- Try to limit the number of photo attachments.  For large numbers of photos, upload to a photo sharing website and create a link to the album (such as at photos.google.com), and include the link in the email to be created as a blog post.

Admins -- Adult Den Leaders and the pack's Cubmster are authorized administrators who can approve and send posts, but any Pack 4 parent can request to be an administrator and post without prior approval.

Dustin P.  Cubmaster.

Things That Fly!

Pack 4 held it first ever July Summer Social
with the theme
THINGS THAT FLY

We went to Farnsworth Park's upper field on July 17th to launch all sorts of things that slip the surly bonds of earth.
Competitions were held and ribbons were awarded.
We started with ice cream, and ended with Domino's Pizza.
Definitely the highest flying craft was the Bears' leader Mr. Salinas' water pump soda bottle rockets!

Webelos Art Explosion Adventure 5/30/16

As part of the Art Explosion Adventure (an elective in the Webelos program), a few of the Webelos 1 boys ventured to the Arboretum on Memorial Day in search of art sculptures (it was just WAY too nice of a day to go to an indoor art museum!!). From metal sculptures to "recycle art" insects hidden amidst the tropical plants, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Webelos Walkabout Hike 4/30/16

The boys in the Webelos 1 den earned the "Webelos Walkabout" pin after completing the 4 mile "Red Box" trail in the Angeles Forest. We all enjoyed the beautiful scenery...especially the newly blooming spring flowers! The boys found a geocache box before heading out, then collected trash along the way and practiced the Outdoor Code and Leave No Trace principles.
