Pack 4 walked down New York avenue in Pasadena on Sunday, 9/11 from Smiser Scount Center to the Eaton Canyon Firehouse. At the end, they heard President Obama's commission statement founding Patriot Day on 9/11, to remember that awful day in 2001. The Captain and other members of the fire crew on duty Sunday gave a phenomenal tour of the fire house and explained what it's like to be a fire fighter in Southern California. Thank you to the fire fighters and John Heinsen for organizing this memorable day. You can see more photos at this flickr album.

Hometown Heroes hanging with our Wolf Den
During a recent Den meeting we were interrupted by a low flying helicopter. The helicopter landed in Farnsworth Park after rescuing a cyclist who was lost in the mountains. Our local sheriffs brought him home safely, gave him several bottles of water to re-hydrate his body, and took time out of their busy schedule to talk to our scouts about safety. Thank you Hometown Heroes!

Scout Egg Drop @ Dodger Stadium
Winner of The most creative egg drop apparatus. His device consisted of two eggs! As they say, two eggs are better than one.
Both eggs landed safely on the tarmac.
Congratulations To all of our scouts who participated!
